The day of the workshop I had no notion at all what my board might come up with. The photos and books I chose were completely random.
I was attracted to Oz stuff and penguins. The Oz stuff, the wedding couple and the diamond ring I could understand somewhat because I knew my niece was getting married in Oz. So, it was on my mind but I had NO notion to go. Months later, that’s all changed and I am going now! SOON! Perhaps the suitcase underneath the koala has something to do with it.
Even more extraordinary, my niece is getting married at a location where they have fairy penguins and koala bears. It’s by the sea and my room will have a veranda just like the vision board. She is taking me to Ayers rock where we will see other lovely, natural things together. I had no idea that she would be available for a trip like this.
My board has also helped me to realise that I want to do more trips more often with my husband – and we have more of these planned. Like visiting stately homes and picturesque places in our motor home. All very exciting.

It’s so interesting. I find the things I need find me when I commit to taking a path and begin to go about it. Then I suddenly realise: “But wait, that’s on my vision board!” Weaving is a case in point. I was approached to make something for a website that sells beautiful art and play materials for children. I put forward 3 ideas and they went for weaving. It was only after I was underway did I remember the weaving imagery and words on my board.
Another time I decided to commit to a certification in Conscious Parenting. Doing this would enable me to register as a coach while also tying together all my previous training with children and childcare. Lo and behold, after I’d committed to this route, I remembered the images of children pursuing activities I’d found.
